Monday I hung out with 30 photographers and  several models down in Mission beach for the first San Diego Shootout/Get together. A nice way to meet new people and try out different lighting techniques/break in new gear.

Up and coming country music star Burgandy Brown is touring and we did a shoot while she was in town on Thursday.  Special thanks to make up by Davia.  

I spent Sunday afternoon at Ed Pierce’s seminar on lighting. It’s always good to get back to basics for review and learn some new tips on location and studio lighting.  The above photo from last month’s shoot I had my assistant use a 4′x6′ California Sunbounce reflector which should have been held up higher based on the catchlight in the eyes and shadow.
